LEad Pastor Michel Mussacchio

For the past 15 years, I have served at Sierra Pines as the Senior High Youth Pastor. I now serve in a new capacity that God has been preparing me for since the day I said yes to His call. My love for students and desire for them to know Jesus' love now translates into loving people just as they are and calling them toward God with all He has for them.

My story is that of a prodigal come home. My heart is to see all those who are far off brought near to a loving Father who is longing for their return. My beautiful wife, Talitha, who has been supportive of ministry all her life, is no stranger to what lies ahead. Her heart and love for Jesus can clearly be seen in the way she remains a constant in people's lives, how she loves her students, and radiates when she sings praises on our worship team. My two amazing children are much of the reason for the smile you see on my face. Kaydance and Judah teach me daily the joy that a father feels, and it helps me greater understand how God loves us all so much.

After all these years of speaking in YWAM and the nearly 770 youth nights that I have led, I believe that God has equipped my family and me to continue the beautiful legacy of Sierra Pines. This legacy is what invited me into the family of God, and now you are a part of this place that holds a beautiful inheritance and destiny for all who encounter it.

    For 31 years I had the honor to be the Lead Pastor at Sierra Pines Church. When my wife and I were called here, there were 35 people meeting in a campground. To our blessing and amazement, God has enabled Sierra Pines to grow to a place that nearly 1000 people in the mountain area call home, and we would love it if you’d join us. God has called us to “love people the way they are and inspire them to all Christ calls them to be.” If you would like a place to feel accepted and encouraged in your faith, you have found it, and we look forward to meeting you.

    I've been married to Pastor Bruce for the past 42 years! 30 years of our life together have been spent serving at Sierra Pines – and we love it. As associate pastor, I help facilitate many of the programs at SPC, but my greatest passion is counseling individuals and couples in the church and in the community.
